A major earthquake shook western Indonesia on Wednesday afternoon, killing at least three and injuring 25 others, officials in the country told CNN.The magnitude 7.5 quake's epicenter was about 195 miles (315 km), south-southeast of Banda Aceh, on the Indonesian island of Simeulue, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
A 2004 earthquake near Banda Aceh killed hundreds of thousands of people.
An hour after the first tremor, a much weaker magnitude 5.2 earthquake rattled the same area. The three victims -- 2 women and a man -- were in their late 60s to early 70s, offcials told CNN.
