Utility crews worked to restore power Friday to tens of thousands of northern New Englanders after a spring storm dumped more than a foot of snow around the region.Some Maine residents may not get lights and heat back until the weekend, utilities warned.
Two traffic deaths were blamed on the storm, which began late Wednesday and continued Thursday.
About 65,000 homes and businesses in Maine and 11,000 in New Hampshire remained in the dark Friday morning, down from about 180,000 at the peak.
