Nearly 29 years after the execution-style slayings of three drugstore employees in San Mateo, police officials announced a $75,000 reward today, hoping the cash or someone's conscience will spark new leads in the cold case.The victims' family members joined the effort, encouraging any witnesses to either call a "Payless Murders" tip line or log onto a new Web site.
On Feb. 4, 1979, Tracy Anderson, Michael Olson and William Baumgartner were each shot in the back of the head while closing up the Pay Less Super Drug Store for the night.
The gunman got away with about $20,000 from the weekend's receipts.
