A storm that brought as much as 2 inches of rain to the North Bay is moving out of the region, but a second system is taking aim at the Bay Area and could hit Thursday night, forecasters said today.Rainfall totals in the central Bay Area from the system moving through this morning were generally around half an inch, less impressive than what fell north of the Golden Gate. The rain is pretty much over for now, said Steve Anderson of the National Weather Service.
"There are a few lingering showers out there right now," he said. "They are slowly sagging south through the Santa Cruz Mountains and should be out of the area by this afternoon. Things will start drying up."
It's not the end of wet weather, however: The region will get another, possibly stronger storm Thursday night, he said. That system will hang out well into Friday.
