Kennedy International Airport will fight extradition to the United States, a lawyer for the men told a Trinidadian court Monday.Kareem Ibrahim of Trinidad and Abdul Kadir, a former opposition member of Guyana's parliament, made their initial court appearance on one count each of conspiracy to commit a terrorist act against the government of the United States.
"We will be opposing extradition," said Rajid Persad, a lawyer who represents both men.
The judge set another hearing for Monday to consider bail for the men and scheduled an extradition hearing for Aug. 2.
