A Good Samaritan is demanding justice after she was arrested by officers who asked for her help.It was all captured on videotape.
The woman who was busted spoke out Friday about why she stopped to help another woman who was hit by a bus, and about the puzzling way she was treated and arrested by a cop when she told him she had to leave to pick up her daughter.
New Jersey reporter Anthony Johnson has details from New Brunswick.
The 25-year-old mother got out of work at Dunkin Donuts early on June 20. And along the way, she was asked by a police officer to lend some assistance to an accident victim. So she did what any other good citizen would do: she decided to help out. But in the end, she was left in serious legal trouble.
"I didn't know what he thinking, because he wanted to arrest me," Monica Montoya said. "Because I help him."
