Fremont police are on the lookout for a man in an older model, white Ford Taurus who tried to kidnap a 12-year-old boy this morning, authorities said.A boy was waiting at a bus stop at Fremont and Peralta boulevards around 8 a.m. when the man pulled up and told him to get in the car, police said. When the boy refused, the suspect threatened to run him over. The boy fled, and the suspect drove north on Fremont, police said.
The man was described as white and in his early 40s, of medium height and build, with light brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing a white tank top and blue jeans and had tattoos on his right arm, including an outline of the state of Texas.
Police said they plan to release a composite sketch of the man Thursday.
