A motorcyclist shot a plainclothes Broward County sheriff's deputy who had pulled him over Monday, authorities said. The officer was in critical condition.The deputy, who was not identified, stopped the motorcyclist at about 11:50 a.m., but the suspect fled on foot, then turned around and shot the deputy, authorities said in a statement.
The suspect was arrested moments later at a nearby condominium, officials said. His name was not released.
Police would not say why the suspect had been pulled over.
