Severe weather deluged parts of the Midwest overnight, washing away bridges and roadways where five people died in southeastern Minnesota, authorities said Sunday.Two of those killed were in a vehicle near Stockton that was caught in the floodwaters, said Bob Reinert, the Winona County Administrator and spokesman for the county's emergency operations center. Three more died in another vehicle near Witoka, he said.
Reinert said the Winona County Sheriff's Department had confirmed all five deaths.
