A Texas court has increased the bond for a murder suspect charged with killing his girlfriend by dousing her in gasoline and lighting her on fire, MyFOXHouston.com reports.The Montgomery County court raised the bond for John Marshall Dodd, 42, from $250,000 to $1,000,000 on Tuesday, the station reports. He faces life in prison if convicted.
On Monday, authorities filed murder charges against Dodd in connection with the Saturday night burning death of Texas child-welfare caseworker Terry Leigh Lee.
Dodd initially lied to neighbors and investigators about what happened, saying Lee had been burned in a kitchen accident, according to authorities.
