A 19-year-old man was shot and killed inside a Pinole bowling alley late Tuesday, the second shooting at an East Bay bowling center in a little more than two weeks, police said today.Brandon Young of Bay Point was shot numerous times inside Pinole Lanes at 1580 Pinole Valley Road about 11:40 p.m., authorities said. He was pronounced dead at Doctors Medical Center.
About 100 people were in the bowling alley when the shooting happened. The killer fled on foot and ran across an open field toward Henry Avenue, police said.
Pinole, Hercules and San Pablo police, California Highway Patrol officers and Contra Costa County sheriff's deputies searched for the man, without success.
