A 13-year-old boy was charged with manslaughter for allegedly attacking another boy on a school playground who later died of his injuries, police said.The suspect was arrested Friday in connection with the March 23 incident. His name was not released because he was being charged as a juvenile.
Guarionex Montas, 13, was playing basketball in the New York City borough of Queens when the suspect hit him on the head several times during a fight, police said.
At home, Montas was sick to his stomach in the early evening and later complained of a headache, said his uncle, Manuel Cepeda. The boy went to sleep, but a relative realized late that night that he was bleeding from his nose and mouth. The boy was taken to a hospital, where he died the next morning.
