Celtic have signed midfielder Scott Brown from Hibernian for a fee of £4.4 million ($8.74 million) -- a record transfer between two Scottish clubs.The Scotland international has agreed a five-year deal, the Scottish champions said on their Web site.
"Everyone knows Celtic are one of the biggest names in football and the opportunity to join a club of Celtic's stature was one I had to take," said Brown.
Brown's last match for Hibernian could be against Celtic this Sunday in the final league match of the season.
