Bayern Munich can finally claim the Bundesliga title this weekend. In fact they could already be champions before they take the field at Wolfsburg on Sunday, if Werder Bremen and Schalke fail to win on Saturday.With four rounds left, Bayern has 66 points and a 12-point lead over Werder and Schalke, plus a far superior goal difference.
Werder and Schalke, both on 54 points, play at home Saturday. Werder host Energie Cottbus, who are still battling relegation. Schalke play mid-table Hanover.
Bayern's 4-1 win over 2007 champions Stuttgart last week made the title race a foregone conclusion.
