Ron Paul, the maverick Republican candidate has declared that he would not endorse the John McCain, the leading Republican candidate. While it is confirmed that he will not be that he will not be running as a third party candidate, he has also stated that he would not be dropping out of the race for presidentship. He also seems to be tuning down his bid for the Republican nomination.Paul, who holds libertarian views and principles, has always argued for bringing military troops back to America. The 10-term congressman once more called for folding up the operations in Iraq and instead, investing the money conserved into domestic causes. In contrast, McCain has consistently declared his intention to continue operations in Iraq for as long as necessary. According to Andrew Malcolm of the Los Angeles Times, Paul said, "I cannot support anybody with the foreign policy he advocates — perpetual war," adding, "That is just so disturbing."
