Democrat Barack Obama criticized Hillary Clinton for being too closely linked to the past. He said Clinton was finding it difficult "to break out of the politics of the past," referring to the time of her husband, Bill Clinton presidentship.Obama aired the views about Clinton in response to questions asking him to underline why he made a better presidential choice, when compared to Clinton. Praising her capability, Obama did call her a "vast improvement" over President Bush. However, he also offered reasons against her as a potential president. "I think it's very hard for Senator Clinton to break out of the politics of the past 15 years," he said, adding that the public, tended to associate Clinton with a time when the country was politically polarized. The republicans benefited from the deadlock in which the government was caught.
