Two students were shot at Delaware State University early Friday and police were searching for a gunman, officials said. Classes were canceled for the day.A male student was hospitalized in stable condition, and a female student was hospitalized with injuries that are considered serious, according to a news release on the university's Web site.
Students, faculty and staff were instructed to stay in their buildings until further notice, according to the news release. Those not on campus were being told not to go there.
The students were shot near Memorial Hall around 1 a.m., the release said.
