Four representatives of Zimbabwe's main opposition party were arrested this weekend as they tried to leave the country for neighboring South Africa, including one who said he was badly beaten, a spokesman for Movement for Democratic Change told CNN.Nelson Chamisa, an aide to MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai, said he was attacked by security forces on Sunday at Harare International Airport, opposition spokesman William Bango said.
Photos of Chamisa taken on Sunday showed him with a bloody gash to his head.
MDC General Secretary Tendai Biti said Chamisa was in a critical condition in a hospital in Harare, The Associated Press reported.
